Toaste Amaretto Recipes

AMARETTO SOUR

Freshly squeezed lemon juice is essential in this tasty cocktail.

INGREDIENTS

• 2 oz Toaste Amaretto
• 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
• 1 tsp rich simple syrup
• Maraschino cherries or brandied cherries for garnish
• Orange slice for garnish

SERVES 1

INSTRUCTIONS

1. In a cocktail shaker, pour amaretto, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice.
2. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
3. Strain into old fashioned glass over ice.
4. Garnish with cherries and orange slice (optional).
   

*Notes:

• Add egg whites to create a frothy top that is simply elegant (use fresh egg white). To mix the egg white amaretto sour, dry shake all the ingredients without ice, then fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously for at least 30 seconds before straining.
• Use an orange-infused simple syrup to give this drink a nice twist.
• Don't have simple syrup or fresh lemons? Use sour mix and lemon-lime soda (ex: Sprite). Mix two ounces of amaretto and one ounce of sour mix; shake or stir with ice, then top the glass with soda. 
• To make a big batch (6 servings), use 1 1/2 cups of amaretto, 3/4 cups of fresh lemon juice, and about 1/8 cup of simple syrup. Shake a few cocktails in batches then strain them into the pitcher. Pour into ice-filled glasses.

BOCCE BALL

The almond notes pair perfectly with citrus, creating a fun twist on the average orange juice highball. Variations include a shot of vodka and slightly less amaretto (reminiscent of a screwdriver). A splash of soda water reduces the sweetness, making it a bit more refreshing.

INGREDIENTS

• 2 oz Toaste Amaretto
• 5 oz orange juice
• Splash sparkling water (optional)
• Orange slice

SERVES 1

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Fill tall Collins glass with ice.
2. Pour all ingredients into glass.
3. Garnish with orange slice (optional).
   

*Notes:

• Vodka variation: Use 1.5 oz Baby-X vodka and 0.5 oz Toaste
